About Volleyball

Best Times

Indoor volleyball in the US is typically played evenings and weekends; beach volleyball is most popular in summer.

Indoor vs Outdoor

Volleyball can be played indoors on hard courts or outdoors on sand or grass. Both styles have active communities in the US.

Group Size

Standard volleyball is six players per side, while doubles beach volleyball is two-on-two. Recreational pickup formats vary.

Skill Levels

Volleyball welcomes everyone — from new players learning the basics to experienced athletes looking for competitive matches.

GameOn Active is currently active for basketball in London. This site is designed to collect interest as we prepare to expand into more cities and sports across the UK and US, including volleyball in the US.

Can I join a volleyball game right now?

Not through GameOn Active in the US just yet. If you are in London and looking for basketball, you may be able to find activity through GameOn Active. For other cities and sports, registering your interest helps us decide where to launch next.
